What’s New?

HAPPY SPRING!! (Hopefully and finally…) Thank you to all who met with me for parent teacher conferences. I sent home resource packets for families that could not meet with me. If you did not receive a packet, let me know and I will send you one. Your support for your child’s learning is truly appreciated. Please don’t forget about the hopathon in our classroom. Theschool wide jog a thon will take place on April 24th through April 26th and on those days, our students will hop in our preschool classroom. Please sign your child up on this website https://getmovinfundhub.com/login , create an account and share with friends and family who may be interested in donating money! All the money raised from the jogathon helps our school get equipment, furniture and so on! In previous years, we were able to purchase outside tables for outside learning and snack breaks, the rock wall in the gym, and technology devices to support student learning. Thank you to our amazing Burgess PTO for their hard work and for the wonderful things they do for our students and school! We will send home a paper that tells you how many hops your child did in 60 seconds. Thanks for your support!

Curriculum

We had a total of 8 chicks hatch from the eggs and Mrs. Johnson has let us have 4 of the chicks in our classroom to observe!  We have had so much fun watching the chicks grow! Mrs. Johnson will be bringing the chicks to a farm to live over April vacation.  This month, we will be finishing up lifecycles of chickens and learning about animal habitats and plants.  We will also be learning about the lifecycle of butterflies and recycling.  The shape of the month is square and we will be reviewing all the colors and continuing to learn about rainbows. We will also continue to learn to identify letters, shapes and numbers.   

What’s Needed? 

White cardstock is needed fo the classroom.  Your generosity is MUCH appreciated.  Please send a labeled water bottle to school with your child daily. Thank you!
